The expansive views of the Northern Alps visible the moment you walk through the entrance lobby of the Hoppo Hot Spring Higashidate Hotel will take your breath away. Situated in one of the best spots in Shiga Kogen and commanding breathtaking views of the Northern Alps from all rooms, you can enjoy this amazing panoramic mountain scenery while soaking away your cares in the Hoppo Hot Spring open-air bath, the oldest spa in Shiga Kogen.
The vast array of flowers available in the Alpine Botanical Garden is beautiful in the summer. Access is possible from the gondola lift station located at the foot of Mt. Higashidate, just a two-minute walk away from the hotel. A seven-minute scenic ride will deposit you at the observation post at the top of the mountain and right next to the Alpine Botanical Garden, where the beautiful blossoms indigenous to this area patiently await you.
In winter, the mountains in front of the hotel are covered with snow and
take on the role of ski slopes. We are conveniently located nearby several
skiing resorts, such as the Mt. Higashidate Ski slopes and the Hoppo Bunadaira
Ski Slopes. Nature at the peak of its power is never far away when you
stay at the Hotel Higashidate.
